Resident - means a person who has had their main home in the United Kingdom or the Channel Islands and has not spent more than six months abroad in the year before buying this policy.
Who will you be travelling as?
Individual means a single person resident in the UK and under 65 at the commencement of the Period of Insurance.
Couple means two individuals resident at the same UK address for not less than six consecutive months at the commencement of the Period of Insurance. Includes same sex partners.
Single Parent means an individual with all of their dependents aged up to 18. Dependents over 18 require their own policy.
Family means a couple with all of their dependents aged up to 18 who reside with them and are in full-time education. Dependents over 18 require their own policy.
Group means a means a group of upto 10 individuals resident in the UK and under 65 at the commencement of the Period of Insurance. If you have a group of more than 10 we will be happy to help with it and can offer a discount. Please email us at firstname.lastname@example.org with some details of your group and trip.

Europe means: Albania, Andorra, Armenia, Austria, Azerbaijan, Belarus, Belgium, Bosnia-Herzegovina, Bulgaria, Croatia, Cyprus, Czech Republic, Denmark (including FaeroeIslands), Egypt, Estonia, Finland, France (including Corsica), Georgia, Germany,Gibraltar, Greece (including Greek Isles), Hungary, Iceland, Ireland, Italy (including Aeolian Islands, Sardinia, Sicily), Latvia, Liechtenstein, Lithuania, Luxembourg, Macedonia, Malta, Moldova, Monaco, Morocco, Netherlands, Norway (including Jan Mayen, Svalbard Is), Poland, Portugal (including Azores, Madeira Islands), Romania, Russia (European), San Marino, Serbia/Montenegro (including Kosovo), Slovakia, Slovenia, Spain (including Balearic Islands, Canary Islands), Sweden, Switzerland,Tunisia, Turkey, Ukraine, United Kingdom (including England, Scotland, Wales, Northern Ireland, Channel Islands, Hebrides, Isle of Man, Isle of Wight, Orkney Is, Shetland Is) and Vatican City.

Australia and New Zealand means: Australia and New Zealand including brief stop-overs for flight changes in Worldwide countries including United States and Canada. (available with Single Trip and Backpacker/Gap)
Worldwide (Excluding USA & Canada) means: All countries worldwide excluding the United States and Canada but including brief stop-overs for flight changes in United States and Canada. (only available with Backpacker/Gap)
Worldwide (Including USA & Canada) means: All countries worldwide including the United States and Canada. (available with all Dogtag products)
Dogtag Sports Level
Search for your sport by key word. Scroll to the correct level of sport and click the one(s) that you want to cover. Dogtag will then select the correct sport cover level for you: (Sport, Sport+, Extreme or Extreme+) depending upon the highest risk level you choose.
You cannot select a lower sport level than is indicated by the sports you have chosen.
If you already know the category that your sport falls into you can select the category manually. The full sports list is HERE.
Number of days winter sports.
Annual Multi Trip: Annual Multi-Trip cover offers the choice of additional cover for winter sports. You can select from 17, 24 or 31 days per annum.
Single Trip: For short trips of 10, 17, 24 or 31 days you can select winter sports cover for the whole period. For Extended Cover, if you select 'With' winter sports cover, you will be given the option to select winter sports cover for all or part of your trip. Be sure to select the number of days you need to adequately cover you for the total number of days you expect to spend participating in wintersports.
Backpacker/Gap: Dogtag Backpacker cover is designed for people taking an extended break but it does offer the option to add 17 days (and only 17 days) of winter sports cover. If you require winter sports cover for a longer period within your backpacking or gap year holiday then you should probably opt for a Single Trip package which gives options for longer periods of winter sports cover.
With any of the above winter sports cover, the number of days does not include days spent travelling to and from your wintersports destination.
Maximum Trip Duration.
Select the maximum number of days you require for any one trip during the period of insurance.
Policy Start Date.
For Annual Multi-trip Policies you can select a start date of today or a future date. Please note that cancellation cover commences from the start date of the policy, not from the date of inception of the policy. If you require cancellation cover to start immediately you should select today as your start date.
For single trip and gap year policies you must state the exact dates of your trip. Cancellation cover commences from the inception date of the policy.
Oldest In Party.
Individual? Enter your own age.
Couple? Enter the elder of the two.
Single Parent? Enter the age of the adult. Remember, dependents over 18 require their own policy.
Family? Enter the oldest adult in the family being insured. Remember, dependents over 18 require their own policy.
